AI solutions based on Advantech’s Hailo-8 Edge processor
Aicox presents AI solutions based on Advantech’s Hailo-8 Edge processor
Advantech, a global leader in Industrial IoT, has recently partnered with CharIN to provide embedded systems expertise for EVSE manufacturers and charging point operators. It aims to improve seamless integration, out-of-band manageability, print-proof scalability and cybersecurity in the EV charging vertical market.
The Hailo-8 edge AI processor, with up to 26 tera-operations per second (TOPS), far outperforms all other edge processors. Its energy and area efficiency is much higher than that of other leading solutions by a considerable order of magnitude, with a size of less than a cent in its COB version, including the necessary memory. It has an architecture that leverages the basic properties of neural networks, enabling next-generation devices to run large-scale deep learning applications more efficiently, effectively and sustainably than other AI chips and solutions, while reducing significantly the costs.
Key Features:
- Unprecedented AI computing power of 26 Tera operations per second (TOPS).
- Best-in-class energy efficiency, consuming 2.5W typical.
- Enables AI inference in real time, low latency and high efficiency on edge devices.
- Higher profitability (TOPS/$) compared to existing solutions.
- Scalable:
– Simultaneous processing of multiple flows and models.
– Compatible with various Hailo-8 devices. - Commercial, industrial and automotive grades, supported:
– Industrial: -40ºC to 85ºC
– Automobile: -40 °C to 105 °C - Easy hardware integration; does not require external memory.
- Comprehensive solution composed of hardware and software.
- New proprietary structure-based data flow architecture.
It is available in COB versions and M.2 and miniPCIe modules.
